Last week Georgia Buchanan – better known as the rising popstar Call Me Loop – released the gorgeous music video for her hot single ‘Love The Lie’, and it’s the real definition of a summer bop!
Released on 25th May, the single itself now has over 2 million plays of Spotify, making it her second most popular track after January’s ‘Give ‘n’ Take’ which is almost at 10 million. Co-produced by Hight and Bantu, whose collective portfolios include Lily Allen, Rita Ora, Camila Cabello, Jason Derulo and Maroon 5, ‘Love The Lie’ has a strong flamenco pop vibe that perfectly represents that summer holiday feeling we’ve all been waiting for. The Spanish-style acoustic guitar melodies contrast well with the booming drum beats and the Brixton gal’s strong London accent.
The video, which was filmed in Turkey and directed/edited by Jamie Johnson, shows Buchanan having a much-needed girls holiday, linking to the end of the relationship mentioned in the lyrics. With beautiful scenery shown from dusk til dawn and captured through incredible cinematography, the enigmatic singer proves what summer is all about: having fun in the sun with your pals.
To get that same feeling yourself, get down to Call Me Loop’s set on RiZE’s 2nd Stage on Friday 17th August!
