After the singer-songwriter and producer teased snippets of his new album Bangers & Ballads on Instagram, fan Jordan Niner asked if the release would be available in CD format so he could listen to it while driving his 17-year-old car which has no aux cord. He certainly wasn’t expecting his idol to reply, offering him a brand new car to make up for the fact that it wasn’t.
Afterwards Niner tweeted “So @example has some new bangers out next month and has said he’d buy me a new car if the album does well, help me out and download/stream/buy” to which the ‘Kickstarts’ singer (real name Elliot Gleave) responded “Don’t worry bro I’ve got you”.
There’s definitely no questioning the upcoming album’s success as four out of five of his previous albums all hit number one in the UK Dance charts, with We Won’t Go Quietly (2010) and The Evolution of Man (2012) receiving Gold certification and Playing In The Shadows (2011) reaching Platinum.
Bangers & Ballads is Example’s first album in four years and is due next month – just in time for his appearance at RIZE as he headlines our JBL Dance Arena alongside DJ Wire – and will feature leading singles ‘Whisky Story’, ‘Later’ and ‘The Answer’.
