Can I park at RiZE Festival?

Yes, parking is available and can be purchased for £25 on the gate (cash only payments)

What time do the gates open and close?

Car parks will open at 14:00 on Thursday 16th August and close at noon on Sunday 19th August 2018.

Campsites will open at 17:00 on Thursday 16th August (Early Bird) and campers are requested to have left the festival site by 12 noon on Sunday 19th August 2018.

Arena gates will open at approximately 13:00 on Friday and approximately 11:00 on Saturday with the stages ending by at 23:00 on both days.

Can I bring a bag to the festival?

Only bags the size of an A4 piece of paper or smaller will be allowed into the arena.  Bringing a bag may slow down your entry to the arena as enhanced searches will be in place. No backpacks are allowed into the arena but are permitted into the campsites.

What is the age restriction?

RiZE Festival is not suitable for young children. No unaccompanied under 16’s are allowed on site.  Under 16’s must be accompanied by a ticket holder over 18.  Under 13’s (12 yrs and under) are admitted free, but must be accompanied by a paying ticket-holder over 18 at all times.  We do not accept any parental or supervisory duty of care or liability for any under 18’s on site.  The event is 5+ (no under 5’s admitted)

Is there a payment plan or can I pay for my ticket in instalments?

Yes. Ticketmaster and Big Green Coach offer payment plans.

Is there any Glamping at RiZE?

Yes there is a range of glamping options check out the accommodation page on our website.

We also have Pink Moon Camping available for those that still want a tent but don’t want the hassle of pitching and packing up!

What is RiZE Festival's policy on drugs and alcohol?

Right of admission is reserved by the event – As the venue is a licensed premise, even if you have a ticket, there may be circumstances where we feel or understand you should not be allowed into our event such as you appearing to be drunk or under the influence of drugs, and you will not be permitted to enter the event. No refund will be given.

Illegal and antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and will lead to ejection from the event without refund.

There will be a Challenge 25 policy operating at every bar. Challenge 25 means that every individual, who visually appears to be under 25 years of age and is seeking to purchase or be supplied with alcohol at the premises or from the premises, shall be required to produce identification proving that individual to be 18 years of age or older. Acceptable identification for the purposes of age verification will include a photographic driving licence, British passport, or photographic identification bearing the “PASS” logo and the person’s date of birth. If the person seeking alcohol is unable to produce acceptable means of identification, no sale or supply of alcohol will be made to or for that person. If you are under 18 you are committing an offence if you attempt to buy alcohol.

If you purchase alcohol on behalf of somebody under 18 you are committing an offence.

Can I smoke at RiZE Festival?

The same regulations apply to everywhere, you can smoke outdoors but not inside any of the tented or other indoor structures.  No smoking signs will let you know.

Are dogs allowed into RiZE?

Only guide dogs for the registered blind and deaf.

Can I buy merchandise at RiZE?

Merchandise will be on-sale at the event and afterwards from the website.

Why do my favourite artists clash on different stages?

Because there are a number of stages and all positions have to be filled, there will always be clashes and this cannot be helped.

Can I bring a camping stove to RiZE?

Only disposable BBQs and permitted cooking stoves are allowed –
Greenheat Base Camp Cooker, solid fuel stoves, Disposable BBQs, firelighters/firelighter stoves – Meth/trangia spirit stoves

Can I bring a camper van?

You can but there are restrictions!

You will first need to purchase a weekend ticket with camping for every occupant of the campervan or caravan.

The Campervan Permit is a supplementary pass only, sold per vehicle, which needs to be clearly displayed in the windscreen of your campervan on arrival at the site.

Can I bring a coach and park?

No, there is no public coach parking for coach bookings you can book via Big Green Coach (link to booking page).

What times are the last trains from Chelmsford?

Customers travelling to the RIZE Festival on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 August, please note the following last train services:

On Friday night:
The last train towards London will depart Chelmsford at 01.35*
The last train to Clacton will depart Chelmsford at 00.43
The last train to Norwich will depart Chelmsford at 00.05
The last train to Ipswich (change at Colchester) will be 01.48
The last train to Colchester will depart Chelmsford at 01.48 (calling at Hatfield Peverel, Witham, Kelvedon and Marks Tey)

On Saturday night:
The last train towards London will depart Chelmsford at 01.40
The last train to Clacton (change at Colchester) will be 00.08
The last train to Norwich will depart Chelmsford at 00.08
The last train to Ipswich will depart Chelmsford at 01.02
The last train to Colchester will depart Chelmsford at 01.37 (calling at Hatfield Peverel, Witham, Kelvedon and Marks Tey)

Please also note that Chelmsford is NOT within the Oyster card area.
